Rahul and I
were invited to a community event in Oldham town centre. The event for us was
being used to promote our Business Safety Checks and Home Safety Check services whilst also getting people to sign
up as volunteers for the fire service.
The community
event vehicle was brought to the event and we had a stand for people to walk up
to if they needed any advice on fire safety or allow them to signup if they
wanted to become volunteers.
We brought Cracker
the fire dog with us which definitely appealed to the children and allowed to have
conversations with the parents whilst the children met Cracker.
There was a
mixture of Business Safety Advisors and volunteers at the event to show the
various roles offered by the fire service.
